My name is Mary Potenti, I specialize in Couples and Individual Counseling, especially Neurodiverse Couples, in the Dallas area and online therapy in Texas (or online in CA/MI pending)
I have been helping people for over 15 years, to uncover how to enjoy life again, to identify and undo patterns that hold you back individually, or with significant others… whether you’re depleted, lost, or even wondering why you can’t change or why you even stayed so long in this relationship. I work with individuals or couples to guide you in session to re-re-connect, giving you tools to repair & find the hope and re-ignite love…yes even with intimacy. I focus on relationship repair for typical or neurodiverse couples, as well as individual work lessening anxiety or depressive symptoms, or even trauma transformation. My expertise includes scientific, researched-based couples work of EFT (Emotional Focused Therapy), RLT (Relational Life Therapy), and other developmental techniques to guide you back to a satisfying relationship and life you enjoy! Neurodiverse certifications include American Psychology Association approved trainings from the Autism/Aspergers Network, ND Partners, and ASDCS. Plus trauma work includes ETT (emotional transformation therapy), EMDR or A.R.T. (accelerated resolution therapy) . And the newer A.R.T. (Accelerated Resolution Therapy) is an evidenced-based therapy modality used by VA’s (Veteran Affairs) around the country, and has demonstrated success in reducing trauma symptoms in only a few sessions. I also earned AOD (alcohol and other substances) certification in 2006. And I have worked both in and outpatient substance abuse treatment centers, so know how these issues can have a serious impact on your life, and on your relationships.
